Leland Mallett has been advising yearbooks and newspapers since 1999. He is the newspaper, yearbook and photo adviser at Legacy High School in Mansfield, Texas. Legacy’s publications have won Crowns, Pacemakers and Stars. Mallett won JEA’s Distinguished Yearbook Adviser award in 2018. In 2015 he won the Max Haddick Texas Adviser of the Year award from ILPC. He loves the art of telling stories and working with publication staffs and advisers.
Once a kindergarten teacher wrangling tiny humans, Katie Rios is now a yearbook sales guru traveling across the country to teach sales. When she’s not training new reps to share the magic of yearbooks, she’s adventuring with her husband and three kids, riding bikes, playing pickleball, and hunting down the best Thai food. Vegas-based, passion-driven, and always up for a challenge—especially if it comes with a side of gluten free cookies!
A lifelong yearbooker, former adviser, yearbook rep and currently the West Area Manager for Walsworth, Rhonda O’Dea has literally been doing yearbooks her entire adult life. She consults on design and organization, helps guide students and advisers to meet their most important yearbook goals and objectives, and most importantly reminds everyone that yearbook is supposed to be FUN! In her free time, she loves to spend time with her teenage daughters and husband hiking, watching reality TV and travelling.
